FALSE PROPHET

Ralph Reed

Founder & Chairman,
Faith & Freedom Coalition

A staunch disciple of Donald Trump and protégé of Pat Robertson, Ralph Reed is the founder and chairman of the Faith & Freedom Coalition, an organization seeking to align conservative Christianity with the far-right Tea Party movement.

Under Reed’s leadership, the Faith & Freedom Coalition hosts an annual conference that has featured a who’s who of the religious right and far-right politicians, including fellow False Prophets ex-President Donald Trump, Sen. Josh Hawley, Gov. Ron DeSantis, and Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson.

Reed’s coalition is reported to have spent $50 million to help turn out voters for Trump in 2020, and has indicated it intends to spend $62 million in 2024 to return Trump to the White House.

In a May 2024 Wall Street Journal commentary piece entitled “The Smear Campaign Against Christian Nationalists,” Reed argued that the Democratic party “is now so captured by secular progressivism that it views religious folks as alien and dangerous to the American experience.” He went on to say that opposition to Christian nationalism is the “slandering of evangelical Christians,” concluding, “These faithful men and women don’t threaten our constitutional republic; they play a vital role in its survival and renewal.”

In 2020, Reed wrote the book, “For God and Country: The Christian Case for Trump,” which is described in marketing materials as “required reading for every conservative Christian who loves America and wants to return it to Christian values.”  The promotional materials feature approving comments from Mark Meadows, indicted Trump conspirator, and far-right pastor and Trump advisor Robert Jeffress.
