FALSE PROPHET

Leonard Leo is the architect of the current conservative Supreme Court supermajority and possibly one of the most influential men in Washington that you’ve never heard of. 

In addition to his role as co-chairman of the Federalist Society board of directors, Leo serves on the board of the little-known Teneo Network, a billion-dollar dark-money fund working to reshape American culture and government as he did with the Court. It’s a network of conservatives that operates largely in the shadows and includes fellow False Prophets Senators JD Vance and Josh Hawley in its ranks. The network is listed as an advisory board member of Project 2025, a Christian-nationalist playbook ready-made for Trump’s return to the White House. Leo is also reported to be connected to efforts to purge legally registered voters from voter rolls in swing states ahead of the 2024 Election.

In November 2023, the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee authorized a subpoena for Leonard Leo, who, along with Harlan Crow, is at the center of the Supreme Court ethics crisis. As of August 2024, Leo had yet to comply with the subpoena, claiming that a duly issued subpoena is “lawless” and that it is an example of “the left’s dark money effort to silence and cancel political opposition.” 

Faithful America partner and author of “The Power Worshippers,” Katherine Stewart, wrote of Leo: "Leo's primary conviction is that democracy will not deliver the kind of conservative values-based government that he believes America must have. He is therefore committed to building an oligarchy of the religious and the wealthy."
